14/16 for 'English Ghosts' from the prestigious Progression Magazine
in the USA
Issue 59 - Spring 2010
" Konchordat... revently acknowledges progressive rock's roots
but with a modern sensibility that has produced an outstanding debut
album. ... From the Camel-like opening of "Prelude" to the
final rocking, yet orchestral, "Coda?" Konchordat has crafted
a disc that is equal parts symphonic and melodic neo-prog. The centre
piece is its three-part title track. Soaring guitar and driving Keyboards
highlight this 19-minute opus, but other cuts also have much to offer.
"The Human Element", " Censequences" and "The
Road goes ever on" showcase not only the band's technical prowess,
but also some very thoughtful songwriting.... Konchordat doesn't break
new ground with English Ghosts, but that's unnecessary whenever the
symphonic-progressive formula is represented this skillfully."

Konchordat have “undoubted ability to create magnificent, stately, monumental moments”…The title track “highlights the scale and imagination behind their brave ambition. "The 20-minute title track is stately and masterful, while Styx-like closer Coda? showcases their heavier side."
